This is my mock up DVD cover for my trailer.I have yet to take my own pictures, but this is a rough idea of what I want it to look like. I have chosen the colour black because it is dark, mysterious colour, I have also chosen the red as a shadow because it shows horror or blood.
The silhouette of the person, would represent a boy, with a dark past.
Hamish: I think the cover is good but it lacks detail. Admittingly the background matches the title of 'Shadow', but the use of black throughout can make it hard to read or even look at. On top of this, basic features such as the back of the DVD cover and the spine have been missed, so there is an obvious lack of detail.
Jack: I like the idea of the shadow being the main focus of the magazine but the shadowy background merges too much with the actual foreground image. What'd be better is if there was another colour introduced that was part of the background but not the red you have used in the title. This is so it makes the background and foreground separate a bit more.
