Final Poster

This is my final design for my poster. I have desided to a rating and stars to make it look more professional, but also i have added writing at the bottom to again make it look more professional and give info about the film.

Poster

This is my Poster for my trailer, I have taken a picture of a tree and made it darker to make it look like its at night instead of in the day.
I have also taken a pitcure of one of my actors and made him into a silhouette to make him look more like a shadow.
My title also hase a shadow, to make it like in with the theme of shadows.

Feedback:

Naomi- Good overall, I think that it would look more professional if you added a rating on your poster.

Jack- I agree with Naomi, I do think that by adding a rating, it will improve you poster, I also thing that by adding information at the bottom of the poster will also make it look more professional.

Trailer name

Although I have changed the idea of my trailer, the name of it still fits in with the story. I still may change the font because it doesn't look very professional, and also the shadow because it just depends if it fits properly with my DVD and magazine cover.

Logos

I have researched into different logos and found that they all have either black or blue in them somewhere. For example the universal logo has a black background and the earth is blue. The colour black may be used to make the image stand out more. In my logo I have decided to incorporate the black background to make it stand out but also by using a golden colour to attract attention.

Change of Ideas

I have decided to change my ideas for my trailer, because I thought my new idea may look more professional than my last idea. The basic storyline for my old trailer way Camping in a wood, with a group of friends. The wood is haunted by a ghost which maybe a young girl. The girl tries to warn them about camping in the wood. But I found it hard to film later at night due to it being dark and finding a wood hear by that I make a pretend camp with, I also found it hard to put this all together in a short trailer. My new idea was to have two friends, on of these died when he was younger, and the other one is being haunted by his friends sprit.

Mock up DVD cover

This is my mock up DVD cover for my trailer.

I have yet to take my own pictures, but this is a rough idea of what I want it to look like. I have chosen the colour black because it is dark, mysterious colour, I have also chosen the red as a shadow because it shows horror or blood.

The silhouette of the person, would represent a boy, with a dark past.

Hamish: I think the cover is good but it lacks detail. Admittingly the background matches the title of 'Shadow', but the use of black throughout can make it hard to read or even look at. On top of this, basic features such as the back of the DVD cover and the spine have been missed, so there is an obvious lack of detail.

Jack: I like the idea of the shadow being the main focus of the magazine but the shadowy background merges too much with the actual foreground image. What'd be better is if there was another colour introduced that was part of the background but not the red you have used in the title. This is so it makes the background and foreground separate a bit more.

Font and Title

This is the font and name that I have choosen for my trailer. This type of font will be seen on my DVD cover. I have yet to deisgn my DVD with my own images. This title will aslo be seen on my magazine cover, it will not be the title of my magazine but as subtitle.

I choose this font becasue black is quite a dull, bold colour and the shadow as red bacuse it could show horror or blood. I choose the name shadow because it doesnt give to much away about the film, just enough to know what it could be about.
